Nokesville bank robbery becomes a CrimeSolvers case

CARTER BANK AND TRUST ROBBERY, NOKESVILLE [UPDATE]

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information
about a bank robbery which was reported to have occurred at the Carter Bank and Trust located in the
Nokesville area of Prince William County. An update in this case is noted below in italics.

On March 6th at 11:18AM, officers responded to the Carter Bank & Trust located at 12912 Fitzwater Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a robbery.

Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the bank and approached the teller counter. Once at the counter, the man passed a note demanding money and implying a weapon. The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen. The suspect was last seen fleeing the bank on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to determine that the suspect involved in the robbery ran to a vehicle which was parked in a nearby business parking lot and fled the scene immediately after robbing the bank.

Suspect Description: White male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’5”, 150lbs with a thin build and a reddish-mustache

Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “South Pole” embroidered on the back and
blue jeans

Vehicle Description: Older model, 2-door, Chevrolet S10 pickup truck

**INCIDENTS**

Attempted Residential Burglary – On March 10th at 7:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Hamilton Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. A caller reported to police that two unknown men were seen in the backyard of a neighbor’s residence attempting to enter the home. The two men fled the area when confronted by the caller. During a search, officers discovered damage to a rear window. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. 
Suspect Descriptions:
2 Hispanic males, both between 16 & 23 years of age, 5’10”, 150lbs with medium builds
1st male was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, and was carrying a gray backpack

2nd male was last seen wearing camouflage shorts – no further description

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On February 10th at 11:40AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8300 block of Irongate Way in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic disturbance. The victim, a 19 year old woman of Amissville, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were in a verbal altercation which escalated.  During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face, choked her, and then refused to let her leave the home. The victim was eventually able to leave and contacted police. The accused was still on scene and was arrested without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 8th at 4:02AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, one of the parties involved was subsequently arrested for public intoxication. Once that person was in custody, the other party, identified as the accused, began to act disorderly towards officers at the scene. Once the initial person arrested was secured in a cruiser, the officer attempted to leave the scene. At that point, the accused jumped onto the cruiser’s hood and refused to get off. Officers attempted to remove the accused from the hood which led to a struggle. During the altercation, the accused kicked one of the officers multiple times to his knee. Officers eventually detained and arrested the accused. Minor injuries were reported.

Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice
