No chicken taken at Kentucky Fried Chicken while employees cool their heels

Armed Robbery – The investigation revealed that an unknown man followed an employee into the restaurant, brandished a firearm and demanded the safe to be opened. At one point during the encounter, the suspect fired a round into the ceiling of the restaurant. The suspect forced the employees into the freezer area before fleeing the restaurant. No injuries were reported. Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing. The investigation continues.

A black male, about 5’8”, with a heavy build

Armed Robbery – On July 13 at 8 p.m., officers responded to the 16500 block of Royal Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 32-year-old man, made arrangements via the “Offer Up” app to buy a game system from an unknown seller in the above area. During the encounter, the alleged seller brandished a firearm after the victim gave the seller his money. The suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. The victim returned to his residence and contacted the police. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

A black male, approximately 18 years of age, with a medium build and black bushy hair

Commercial Burglary – On July 14 at 7:00AM, officers responded to the Tobacco Market located at 1948 Daniel Stuart Sq. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. The store owner reported to police that at approximately 6:50AM, entry was made into the business through the front glass door which was found damaged. The cash register and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On July 14, 2020 at 3:28AM, officers responded to the Seven Market located at 1551 Featherstone Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an alarm activation. The investigation revealed a suspect made entry into the business through the side door which was found damaged. The suspect then fled in a dark colored vehicle prior to police arriving at the location. Money, a purse and various other products were reported missing.
