Shenandoah Arts Council (ShenArts) has announced the inaugural First Annual Fine Art Festival, a two-day celebration of visual arts, will be on Sept. 9 and 10, 2023, from 11 am - 6 pm, at The Walking Mall Outdoors, North Loudoun St., Winchester, VA 22601.
Located along the pedestrian-friendly walking mall between Piccadilly St.and Cork St., visitors will have the opportunity to discover handmade-in-the-USA, original works of local, regional, and national artists along with live performances and interactive art activities for manyages.
In partnership with local businesses and the City of Winchester, ShenArtsFest aims to promote artistic excellence and foster a vibrant arts culture in the region. Festival goers will have the opportunity to view and purchase unique artwork and watch live demonstrations led by skilled artists. Live music and dance performances will ensure a fun-filled experience for all attendees.
Vice-Mayor John Hill said, ” ShenArtsFest is a significant milestone for Winchester, highlighting the incredible talent and creativity that exists within our community. It is a testament to our city’s commitment to supporting the arts and cultural development, and I’m confident it will become a beloved annual tradition for residents and visitors alike.”
ShenArts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and enriching the arts in the Shenandoah Valley, has curated a diverse lineup of artists specializing in painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, woodwork and more. The organization is also offering sponsorship and volunteer opportunities for businesses and individuals looking to support the festival.
