Prince William County Arts Council invites the community to attend Poetry and Music Out Loud and In The Park: A Black Music Month Celebration on Sunday, June 5 from 3 - 7 PM at the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater inside Locust Shade Park. The park is located at 4701 Locust Shade Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.
This year’s celebration will present Kim B. Miller, Poet Laureate of Prince William County, along with musical performances featuring gospel, jazz, blues, classical and R&B music mixed with poetry.
Special guests will include the Heritage Village African Drum & Dance Ensemble; Dawne Horizons, an internationally acclaimed inspirational speaker and spoken word artist; Eric Kellum, author, speaker, poet and pastor and Maharold Peoples, Jr., one of Christian music’s most iconic songwriter producers.
