Natural resource conservation, environmental studies scholarships available

Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (VASWCD) Educational Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Awards Program will award four $1,000 scholarships statewide.

This scholarship will provide financial support to students majoring in or showing a strong desire to major in a course curriculum related to natural resource conservation and/or environmental studies.

This scholarship is open to all Prince William and Manassas high school seniors and college freshmen. From the applications submitted to the District, one application will be selected and forwarded to the VASWCD to be considered for the statewide scholarship.

Applications must be received by Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Applications will be reviewed by the local District and one application will be forwarded to the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation District’s Foundation Scholarship Review Committee.
