At 6 p.m. on Feb. 13, City of Manassas Fire & Rescue units were dispatched to the 8600 block of Nagel Street in the City of Manassas for a house fire. The fire started in the garage of the home.
There was severe damage to the home and radiant heat damaged the exterior of a second home next door.
Four family members were displaced from the first home and the home has been condemned due to the extent of the damage. The second home only suffered exterior damage and the family was able to reoccupy the home. The Red Cross is taking care of the displaced family members.
A cause for the fire cannot be determined until the home is safe for Fire Marshals to enter.
