Mental illness in your family? Free education series may help

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Prince William, announces a free education series for families who have relatives with serious mental illness on Thursdays, Feb. 26 - May 28 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge.
Discussions cover clinical treatments and skills to help family members cope more effectively.

Nominations due by Dec. 14 for PWC Human Rights Commission awards
Previous honorees have been recognized for their work in combating sex trafficking, addressing homelessness and alleviating food insecurity. Others were recognized for such activities such as mentoring Prince William County youth, health education and workshops tutoring, supporting college and career planning, and promoting informed decision-making.
