• Death Investigation *UPDATE – On December 30, following an autopsy of the 27-year-old man who died after being was found in the roadway near the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) on December 28, the injuries to the deceased were determined to be self-inflicted. The investigation revealed no indications the individual had been struck by a vehicle.
Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On December 28 at 1:18AM, officers responded to the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an unconscious man in the roadway. A passing motorist observed the man in the roadway and contacted emergency services. The 27-year-old man was transported to an area hospital where he later died. It is currently unknown if the man was struck by a vehicle or sustained injuries in a separate encounter. The cause of death is currently undetermined, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact police. The investigation continues.
• Attempted Malicious Wounding | Attempted Residential Burglary *ARREST – On Dec. 25, 2024, a suspect sought in connection with the burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 2300 block of West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) on Dec. 20, 2024, was arrested. Detectives identified the suspects D’Angelo Kyshaun TOWNES and obtained arrest warrants on Dec. 23. After attempts to locate the accused, he was subsequently arrested on Dec. 25. The investigation continues as detectives seek to identify the remaining suspects involved.

Attempted Burglary While Armed [Previously Released] – On December 20 at 2:54PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed several individuals attempted to force entry into the home through the rear sliding glass door which was found damaged. Multiple suspects also vandalized an unoccupied vehicle parked on the property. When a resident of the home confronted the suspects, one of the suspects brandished a knife before all of the suspects left the area. Officers and police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.
ARRESTS
• Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] | Felony Child Neglect – On Dec. 23, 2024 at 5:53PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a parking lot located in the 2800 block of Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stolen vehicle from Pennsylvania. Officers received notification that the vehicle was in the parking lot and subsequently located the vehicle unoccupied.
While police were watching the vehicle, a man later identified as the accused, a female acquaintance, and two children got into the vehicle and attempted to leave the parking lot. During a vehicle stop, the accused accelerated towards an officer, almost striking the officer. No injuries were reported. The accused continued to flee, exiting the parking lot and headed towards I-95. The vehicle was later located unoccupied in Washington D.C. During the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for the accused, identified as Jorge Ariel PEREIRA, who was arrested at his home on Lord Culpeper Ct in Woodbridge on January 2, 2025.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On Jan. 2. 2025 at 7:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the ULTA located at 10640 Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the accused entered the business and demanded money by force before leaving the business. No injuries were reported. The accused was located nearby by officers where he was detained without incident and found in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael Justice Alexander CHIN, was arrested.
