Members of the public can have a say in how $10.5 billion is spent on transportation modes of all descriptions over the next six fiscal years during Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) public hearing in Northern Virginia on May 3 at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will be held at Virginia Department of Transportation, Northern Virginia District Office, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
Comment about rail, public transportation, bicycle, pedestrian and highway projects (except local/secondary roads) at the hearing. Public comments will be considered before the board adopts a final program in June. The final program will take effect July 1, 2012. Funding goes toward highway, rail, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and other transportation improvements across the state.
