Not many locals were seen biking to work on Friday, May 20, but some Prince William County Schools employees got on their two-wheelers and pedaled their way to work.
Bicyclists on the bike path by VA 234 could rest and get some refreshment and cheers of support at the school division’s Kelly Leadership Center, which offered a 6-9:30 a.m. pit stop.
Others in the Observer readership area bike regularly. John Thaete of Gainesville has been a biking enthusiast for years. He used to travel by bike to The Plains, Aldie and other places in the area. He can still be seen biking around the Evergreen area and throughout Gainesville and Haymarket.
And of course, youngsters have been tooling around more on their two-wheeled transportation now that the weather’s getting nicer.
