Masked suspects show guns, take off on foot with prescription drugs

Updates, incidents and arrests released by the Prince William County VA police department on Monday, January 19, 2015:

**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On January 16th, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in the robbery which was reported at the Quality Inn located at 1109 Horner Rd in Woodbridge on January 15th. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against the suspect, identified as Joseph WILLIAMS.

Joseph Nathaniel WILLIAMS, 26, of no fixed address
Described as a black male, 6’1”, 160lbs, with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On January 15th at 5:07PM, officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 1109 Horner Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate to a robbery. The caller, an employee of the hotel, reported that at approximately 5:06PM, an unknown suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect was last seen on fleeing the scene on foot towards Gordon Blvd. No injuries were reported. A Police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On January 17th at 2:02PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 57 year old man of no fixed address, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man struck the victim with a bat and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Suspect Description:
White male, between 45 & 50 years of age, 5’8”, 158 lbs with a medium build, goatee, brown eyes and bald
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt – no further description

Burglary while Armed – On January 17th at 8:17AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Woodhaven Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The victim, a 40 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that two unknown men entered his residence through an unlocked door sometime between 6:00PM on January 16th and 12:00AM on January 17th. Once inside the home, the men displayed handguns and took prescription medications before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. This incident does not appear to be random. 
Suspect Descriptions:
Both suspects described as black males, between 30 & 40 years of age, around 6’0” with medium builds
Last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and masks

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery – On January 15th at 11:26AM, officers responded to the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 27 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was assaulted by two known acquaintances in the above area. During the encounter, one of the suspects, identified as Jeanette BENNETT, pushed the victim to the ground and began striking her in the face while the other suspect held her down. A witness to the incident was able to separate the parties until police arrived. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Charged with malicious wounding
Court date: March 9, 2015 | Bond: $1,000 secured

Lynnette Andrea MCRAE, 32, of 16397 Topsail Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery
Court date: March 9, 2015 | Bond: $2,000 unsecured

Armed Robbery – On January 14th at 10:00AM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 11600 block of Sudley Manor Dr in Manassas (20109) on January 13th. The victim, a 16 year old juvenile of Manassas, reported to police that at approximately 2:00PM on January 13th, he made arrangements to meet with other known acquaintances in the above area to conduct a narcotics transaction. During the transaction, one of the suspects produced a handgun and took of an undisclosed amount of money from the victim. There were no injuries reported. Through the investigation, the suspects were identified and subsequently arrested without incident. The weapon used was later determined to be a BB gun. No injuries were reported. This incident was not a random act.

Charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor
