Residential Burglary
On August 1 at 4:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8500 block of Roxborough Lp. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that a resident of the home encountered an unknown, masked man inside the residence. Upon observing the caller, the man fled the residence and the caller contacted police.
Responding officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located. Entry was gained through a second-floor balcony door which was found damaged. Surveillance video revealed the suspect getting into a black Chrysler sedan with two additional suspects before fleeing. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.
Suspect Descriptions:
• A white male, unknown age, 5’10”, large build and bald. Last seen wearing a black hat, black sunglasses, a white/blue striped tank top and black sweat pants.
• A Hispanic male, 30-40 years of age. Last seen wearing a mask and dark colored clothing
• A male, unknown age or race, last seen wearing a grey sweat suit
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 1 at 7:55AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3100 block of Fledgling Cir. In Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary.
The homeowner reported to police that sometime between July 31 at 6:30PM and August 1 at 6:30AM entry was into the residence. The investigation revealed that the homeowner found the garage door open on the morning of August 1. No entry was made into the home and no items were reported missing.
