Manassas woman charged with felony child neglect and held without bond

Felony Child Neglect – On March 20 at 4:13PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the parking lot of the Arcadia Run Apartments located in the 8600 block of Acadia Leaf Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an unconscious person.

According to a report from Off. Renee Carr, police department representative, the investigation revealed that a woman, identified as the accused, was located unconscious in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle with an 18-month-old toddler inside. Officers made contact with the accused who regained consciousness and was determined to be under the influence of illegal drugs. The accused was taken into custody without incident.

During the investigation, the accused was also found in possession of suspected illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The child was unharmed and turned over to a family member. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kristina Stoyanova BAKALOVA, was arrested.

Charged with 1 count of felony child neglect, 1 count of DUID, 1 count of distribution of marijuana and 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance
