Manassas woman, 26, charged with malicious wounding

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On January 8 at 11:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Lyon Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old man of Manassas, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a knife. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
