Manassas Police make arrest in case involving possession of child pornography

Possession of Child Pornography – Arrest
During the early morning hours of April 21, 2014, Manassas City Police Investigators, in conjunction with the Northern Virginia-Washington DC Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, executed a search warrant on the 9400 block of Taney Rd regarding the possession of child pornography. 

The search warrant stemmed from a 2½-week investigation into persons possessing or attempting to download obscene material and resulted in the arrest of Carlos M. HERNANDEZ.

Numerous items were removed from the residence stemming from the search warrant.  HERNANDEZ, 61, of 9455 Taney Rd was identified as the suspect through investigation and interviews.  HERNANDEZ was arrested on April 22, 2014 and charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography.  He was held without bond and has a pending juvenile and domestic relations court date of June 3, 2014.
