Manassas City Police identify suspect in Dec. 28 bank robbery

Ben R. TAULBEE, Jr. age 36, is wanted by Manassas City Police as a suspect in the Dec. 28, 2015 robbery of TD Bank at 8401 Digges Rd. The suspect demanded money and the teller complied, police said. No weapon was displayed or implied, according to police.

The description of the suspect has been refined: white male, age 36, 6’1” tall, 250 pounds, wearing a maroon/purple hooded sweatshirt with a silver colored Nike symbol on the front, gray sweatpants and black shoes. Police said the suspect possibly was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry (silver).

At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Dec. 28, 2015, a male subject entered TD Bank (8401 Digges Rd) and demanded money from the teller. After leaving with an undisclosed amount of money, the subject fled on foot towards the area of Bruton Parish and Plantation Ln where he is still at-large. Police are actively searching for the suspect. We appreciate the public’s patience as traffic patterns may be temporarily disrupted in order for police to maintain an active perimeter.
