Motor Vehicle Theft
On April 23, 2014 Manassas City Police met with citizens at the Home-Style Inn located at 9913 Cockrell Rd for a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party told officers that their vehicle, a 1997 silver Honda Accord, was stolen from the parking area of the hotel sometime between midnight and 7:30AM on April 23rd. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft and contained a box of clothes, electronics and other personal belongings.
Description of vehicle: 1997 Honda Accord, silver, with a dent on the front left bumper and a small crack in the window.
Vandalism
In the morning of April 28, 2014 Manassas City Police met with citizens at the intersection of Prince William St and Wellington Rd in reference to a series of vandalisms in the area. According to the reporting party, someone(s) spray painted numerous electric boxes, light posts, and signs along Wellington Rd, Prince William St, and Grant Ave during the overnight hours. Officers also found where someone(s) had spray painted the building at Joe’s Pizza and Subs, located at 9644 Grant Ave, during the same timeframe. This is an ongoing investigation.
