Manassas Police Department reports stereos missing from 11 vehicles at garage

Motor Vehicle Theft
During the early morning hours of Friday, October 11, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to the 9200 block of George St in response to a report of auto theft.  The victim told Police that just before 4:00AM he had turned on vehicle and left it running while he went back into the residence for a short amount of time.  He returned after a period of five to ten minutes and discovered the vehicle missing.

Hit & Run
At approximately 2:00AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 a Manassas City Police Officer conducting extra patrol on the 9100 block of Church St discovered damage to City property.  A City of Manassas light post had been struck and was lying on the ground.  Damage to the light pole indicated that it was hit by a vehicle, possibly gray, traveling southbound on Church St that jumped the curb and hit the pole at an angle.

Theft from Automobile (Multiple)
On Saturday, October 12, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to “Fries Garage” located at 9819 Cockrell Rd for the report of theft from vehicles.  According to the business owner, someone(s) entered the property through the back fence between the hours of 7:30PM on October 11 and 8:00AM on October 12 and stole stereos from 11 different vehicles that were left unlocked in the parking lot.
