Manassas Police Department reports assault and hit and run incidents

Aggravated Assault
Just before 4:00PM on Friday, October 18, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to “Manassas Shopping Center” located at 9100 Mathis Ave in reference to a stabbing.  The juvenile victim sustained two non-life threatening stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital.  A detention order is on file for the juvenile suspect in this case.  This is an ongoing investigation.

Hit and Run
At approximately 8:00PM on October 17, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to Racquet Cir in response to a hit and run.  The reporting parties told Officers that they witnessed a vehicle crash head-first into the fire hydrant located on the 10200 block of Racquet Cir.  A section of the vehicle’s wheel was damaged and left at the scene before the driver continued along Racquet Cir.
Vehicle Description: Blue Toyota 4-door, possibly driven by a female
