Manassas Police charge resident with arson in Jan. 7 trash can fire

Arson **Arrest**
On January 7, 2018 at approximately 7:38 p.m., the Manassas City Police Department responded to 8402 Digges Rd (7-Eleven) for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers were notified of a small fire in a trash can at the business which was quickly extinguished. Surveillance video showed the suspect leaving the store and lighting a disposable coffee cup on fire and throwing it in the garbage can. Through investigation officers were able to identify the suspect as Mark HALLOWAY Jr., a 30-year-old resident of Manassas.  HALLOWAY was located nearby a short time later and arrested.

Charges:  Burning Personal Property under $200

Burglary
On January 7, 2018 at approximately 9:16 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 10300 block of Massie Street for a report of a burglary. The victim told police the incident occurred sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. on January 7. It is unknown how the suspect entered the residence. Items were rummaged through, but nothing was reported missing.

Larceny
On January 8, 2018 at approximately 6:22 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to 8905 Centreville Rd (Exxon) for a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, the store clerk reported a subject pumped gas into his vehicle and then fled the scene without rendering payment. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 40-42-years-old, driving a white Toyota Corolla.

Larceny **Arrest**
On January 8, 2018 at approximately 2:55 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to 9901 Wellington Road (Exxon) for a report of a larceny. The victim reported he arranged to meet with the accused at the Exxon through the Let Go app to sell his IPhone.  Upon meeting, the suspect stole the victim’s IPhone and fled the area on foot. Through investigation officers were able to identify the offender as Gabriel BRACAMONTE, a 19-year-old resident of Manassas.  Gabriel was later arrested near his residence without incident.

Charges:  Grand Larceny
