Foot Pursuit / Obstruction / Wanted Subjects
On March 12, 2024, at approximately 6:18 p.m., Manassas City Police observed two subjects known to possess and deal in narcotics, in the area of the 9200 block of Byrd Drive in the Georgetown South area.
One subject fled–leading to a foot pursuit by officers. While running the subject threw away suspected narcotics, which was recovered by officers. Both subjects were apprehended and returned as wanted. They were transported to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
Arrested: Christopher Rice, 36, of Manassas
Charged: Obstruction of Justice, Prince William County Warrant
Released on Bond
Arrested: Derrick Wanzer, 36, of Manassas
Charged: Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotic, Prince William County Warrant

Disorderly / Obstruction
On March 12, 2024, Manassas City Police Department at approximately 10:30 p.m. responded to the 8700 block of Bretton Woods Drive for a Loud Music call.
When officers made contact at the residence the subject came outside and was intoxicated and aggressive toward officers, swinging at them. The subject attempted to prevent officers from taking him into custody for being disorderly and intoxicated in public. Officers were able to take the subject into custody. He was transported to the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
