SafeWise, a recognized community safety organization, has announced its10 Safest Cities in Virginia Report for 2015, and Manassas Park is one of only three cities in Northern Virginia to receive this distinction.
The report was compiled from the most recent FBI crime data from 2013 to rank the cities, which all have a minimum population of 5,000 people.
“I am exceptionally pleased to see the recognition of Manassas Park as one of the Top 10 Safest Communities in Virginia”, Mayor Frank Jones was quoted as saying in a news reslease. “It is reflective of the emphasis we, as a community, put on safety and a place we all want to call home. It is also a credit to our Police and the way in which they conduct their daily business.”
