Manassas man charged with rape

Rape – On July 15, 2021 detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 8900 block of Brewer Creek Pl. in Manassas (20109) sometime between 9:00PM on June 26 and 4:00AM on June 27.

According to a report filed by Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer for the police department, the investigation revealed that the victim, a 29-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were at the above location when the victim fell asleep and was sexually assaulted by the accused. When the victim woke later that morning, she immediately left the residence and went to an area hospital. Eventually, the victim contacted the police, prompting the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Morris Woodrow HARRIS, was arrested.
