Manassas man apprehended without incident after barricading himself in residence

Brandishing a Firearm
At approximately 9:20PM on September 20, 2014 Manassas City Police responded to the 9300 block of Tarra Ln for a report of a brandishing.  The reporting party told officers that the offender, Jerome ARRINGTON, appeared at the victim’s residence and asked him to meet ARRINGTON outside.

When the victim did not comply, ARRINGTON allegedly displayed a handgun.  The victim contacted Police while the offender fled towards his residence at 9352 Scarlet Oak Dr and barricaded himself inside. 

MCPD established a perimeter and remained on-scene until approximately 5:50AM on October 1st, at which time the suspect was apprehended without incident. 

ARRINGTON, 45, was charged with brandishing a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and driving on a revoked license.  He was held on a $3,000.00 bond and has a pending court date in Prince William General District Court.

At approximately 5:50AM on October 1, 2014, Manassas City Police took Jerome ARRINGTON, 45, into custody after he barricaded himself in his residence at 9352 Scarlet Oak Dr.  Manassas City Police had obtained warrants against ARRINGTON for brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following an incident on September 30th.  Prince William St at Runaldue Rd and Prince William St at Wellington Rd are still closed while Police remain on-scene.  Residents needing to leave the community may exit RIGHT on Runaldue Rd towards Grant Ave.  Manassas City Public Schools have been notified.  Updates to follow.
