Manassas Education Foundation Expo rescheduled to March 26

The new date for the Manassas Education Foundation’s Expo is Thursday, March 26.

The foundation will host its fourth annual “Stand Strong 4 Education” event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mayfield Intermediate School, 9400 Mayfield Court, Manassas, VA.  20110.

A variety of local businesses will be featured and the expo will include entertainment by several school music groups, food samples, free haircuts and styling, and lots of door prizes including an iPad Mini.

Each school and various programs and clubs within Manassas City Public Schools will be represented, as well. 

”This is the largest event we host throughout the year.  Last year’s event brought in nearly 500 attendees and a great gathering is expected again this year.” according to the foundation’s executive director, Lisa Lewis.

The mission of the MCPS Education Foundation is to seek community support to encourage innovation, enhance quality education, and promote success for all Manassas City Public Schools’ students and teachers.

Micron is the Main Event Sponsor and Northern Virginia Community College is sponsoring the “School Spirit Award” of $500 which is given to the school with the most participants, a news release said.
