Manassas City Police make arrest in PWC stolen auto case

On Dec. 31, 2016, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9200 block of Massie St for a report of a stolen auto. The reporting party told officers that sometime between the evening of Dec. 30 and the morning of Dec. 31, someone stole his 1998 Toyota Camry from the parking area in front of his residence.
          Description of stolen vehicle: 1998 Toyota Camry, green, dented driver’s door, driver’s window removed, valued at $1,500

At approximately 3:10 a.m. on Jan. 4, Manassas City Police were conducting a foot patrol on the 9800 block of Town Ln when they observed several individuals to include one adult and four teenage juveniles sleeping inside a parked Dodge SUV. Officers discovered the vehicle, valued at $50,000, had been reported as stolen out of Prince William County. The driver, Kyvon GRIFFIN, 18, was apprehended and the vehicle was returned to its owner.
