Motor Vehicle Theft
On June 18, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a stolen vehicle. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 4:30AM and 7:00PM on June 18th someone(s) stole his work vehicle from its parking spot on Liberia Ave near the intersection of Liberia Ave and Carlton Dr.
Description of vehicle: 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck, two-toned in color (bottom half blue, top half black), full-sized Lariat crew cab with four doors and side running boards
Robbery
At approximately 10:35PM on June 18, 2014 Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The reporting party told officers that as she walked towards the front door of her residence on the 10300 block of Leighton Pl, a male subject approached her from behind, grabbed one of her arms, and stole her purse from the other. The suspect asked the victim if she had an iPhone and when she told him she did not, the suspect fled on foot through the tree line towards the intersection of Dumfries Rd and Milic St. The purse contained the victim’s wallet and several personal items. The victim sustained minor scratches as a result of the confrontation.
Description of suspect: Black male, early 20s, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head and brown shorts
