On July 11, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to Miller Toyota (8566 Sudley Rd) for a report of a stolen automobile. The reporting party told officers that someone stole a 2016 Toyota Rav4 XLE from the dealership’s lot sometime between 12:35 p.m. on June 29 and 3:30 p.m. on July 11. The vehicle was valued at over $28,000.
 
Crime Prevention Tip:
The HEAT (Help Eliminate Auto Theft) program from Virginia State Police provides an online tip submission form for citizens to report information concerning the theft of vehicles, vehicle parts or chop shop operations

HEAT also offers free VIN etching services for motorists. Manassas City Police will host its next free VIN etching event with Prince William County Police on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
