September 4, 2015
Larceny from Vehicle
On September 2, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 8900 block of Rolling Rd for a report of a larceny from auto. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 12:00am on September 1st and 7:00am on September 2nd, someone rummaged through her vehicle and stole a $200.00 Garmin GPS unit from her unlocked vehicle.
Larceny of Motor Vehicle Parts
On September 3, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a citizen on 9151 Liberia Ave for a report of stolen vehicle parts. The reporting party told officers that sometime during the overnight hours of September 2nd, someone stole the two electric side mirrors, each valued at $600.00, from his work truck. The truck was parked inside the business’s gated lot at the time of the theft.
Suspicious Event
On September 2, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident for a report of a suspicious event that occurred outside of L.A. Fitness (9946 Liberia Ave) during the evening hours. The reporting party told officers that at approximately 7:00pm, she left the gym and was walking towards her vehicle in the parking lot when she observed a dark blue van parked very closely to hers despite an abundance of open parking. The driver of the van, an older Hispanic male, greeted her and allegedly parked so closely that she had to climb into her vehicle through the passenger side before driving away.
