Crime Report
July 16, 2015
Larceny from Motor Vehicle
At approximately 5:05AM on July 14, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 8600 block of Weems Rd for a report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 7:30PM and midnight on July 13th, someone stole three (3) welding cables out of the bed of his truck. The cables were valued at $700.
Destruction of Property
At approximately 6:20PM on July 13, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the Manassas Muslim Association Temple (9509 Euclid Ave) in reference to a destruction of property. The reporting party told officers that at approximately 4:45PM, the outdoor air conditioning units were discovered to be in nonworking order. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that two of the three units had sustained damage to their copper tubing. Damages were estimated at approximately $1,500.
Larceny
At approximately 6:00AM on July 13, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 9000 block of Liberia Ave for a report of a larceny. The reporting party told officers that sometime between 7:00PM on July 11th and 4:40AM on July 13th, someone stole a portable generator from the construction site on the property. The generator, valued at $1,000, was secured at the time of the theft.
Breaking and Entering
At approximately 9:30AM on July 12, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 8900 block of Rolling Rd for a report of a burglary in progress. The reporting party told officers that she was checking on her neighbors’ house when she encountered an unknown male standing in the kitchen. The male then exited the kitchen through a rear door and fled on a bicycle. He was last seen traveling northbound on Rolling Rd.
Description of suspect: White male, approximately 20 years old, with a thin build of approximately 180lbs and dirty-blonde medium length hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a florescent pink design on the back, riding a dark-colored bicycle.
