Manassas city police beat for 9/9/13

Robbery, Assault by Mob - Arrests
On Friday, September 6, just after 12:00AM, Manassas City Police were called to Byrd Park (8528 Cavalry Lane) for a report of an assault and robbery that had just occurred.  The adult male victim stated that four acquaintances had assaulted him and stolen his knife. 

Responding officers were able to locate and detain suspects walking and driving in the area.  The investigation led to the following individuals being arrested and charged with Robbery, Assault by Mob, and Trespassing:  Tracy Alexander Woodson, Jr., 19, of 8851 Petersburg Ct, Manassas (20109); Philip James Barnes, 18, of 9464 Abingdon Ct, Manassas (20109); Joshua Nile Willis, 19, of 2256 W. Longview Dr, Woodbridge (22191). Charges are pending against a fourth individual, who is a juvenile.  The adults were held at the Adult Detention Center, pending arraignment, and are scheduled to appear in court on October 15.
 
Pedestrian Robbed
Manassas City Police are investigating the robbery of a pedestrian which occurred on Saturday, September 7, at approximately 2:25AM.  The adult female victim reported that she was walking on Forum Way towards the ‘7-Eleven’ at 8402 Digges Road when she was robbed of her wallet.  She stated she was holding her wallet out, counting money, when someone struck her head, demanded her wallet, then grabbed it from her hands.  The victim was treated for minor injuries.  She described the suspect as a black female, approximately 35-40 years old, about 5`6” tall and 220lbs, with “corn-row” styled hair, and wearing black sweatpants and a black shirt with yellow writing.

Larceny from Construction Site
Manassas City Police are investigating the theft of items from a residential construction site at the intersection of Lake Jackson Drive and Libeau Drive.  The building supplies, two 7’ columns and a 31’ steel beam, were reported to have been stolen some time during the week prior to Friday, September 6.
