Manassas city police beat for 5/23/13

Attempted Armed Robbery
On Thursday, May 23, 2013 at approximately 2:45 PM, Manassas City Police officers responded to Manassas Video Club (8593 Breeden Ave) for an attempted armed robbery. The subject entered the adult video store armed with a hand gun and demanded that the clerk open the register.  An altercation ensued between the clerk and the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene heading north on Mathis Ave.  It is uncertain at this time if he was on foot or in a vehicle.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Black male, 20-30 years of age, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build.  He was last seen wearing a Michael Vick jersey.

NOTE: MVC in Prince William County (Dumfries), was robbed at approximately 4:10 PM on the same day.
It is uncertain at this time if it is the same suspect.
