Manassas city police beat for 5/14/13

The Manassas City Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place on the 9500 block of Nittany Dr during the evening hours of Sunday, May 12, 2013.  According to the victim, she noticed an individual walking in between vehicles in the parking lot as she exited her vehicle.  The suspect then followed behind her as she proceeded to her residence, subsequently demanding her purse, a second bag, and her car keys.  The victim surrendered her bags but refused to give him her keys, at which point the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male of average build and height (5’8” to 5’10”).  The male was wearing a silver or gray jacket and light colored jeans, and a toboggan hat that covered his hair but not his face.

Malicious Wounding
On Monday, May 13, 2013 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a Manassas City Police Officer responded to “Don Julio’s” restaurant located at 9007 Centreville Rd.  Upon arrival, the Officer was met by the victim of an assault. 

According to the victim, he was sitting in the bar area of the restaurant when the suspect approached him and asked him to come outside. The victim exited the bar with the suspect where upon doing so, he was allegedly physically assaulted by the suspect. The suspect fled on foot and returned at a later time to the restaurant. The victim was treated for severe lacerations to the face, eye and neck.

Further investigation revealed that the incident may have stemmed from gang affiliations.  With the assistance of the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force, the suspect, Hamilton Alexander Campos Gimenes (30) of Honduras, was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding.
