Manassas city police beat for 4/4/13

Here is the Manassas city police department’ s crime report for Thursday, April 4, 2013:

Embezzlement, Narcotics – Arrest
On Saturday, March 30, a Manassas City Police officer investigated the embezzlement of money by an employee at the ‘IHOP’ restaurant, at 8785 Centreville Road.  A server, Joseph Jewell, allegedly took cash belonging to the restaurant while working an overnight shift.  When Mr. Jewell was arrested, he was in possession of a small amount of heroin.  Joseph Curtis Jewell, 22, of 9244 Bayberry Avenue, was charged with Embezzlement and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  He was held at the ADC without bond pending a June 10 court appearance.

Larceny from Auto - Arrest
At approximately 3:30AM, Sunday, March 31, Manassas City Police officers responded to a report of suspects entering cars parked near the Manassas Railroad Depot, at 9431 West Street.  Officers quickly located and detained two individuals (Mr. Inniss and a 17 year old acquaintance) matching witness descriptions.  After further investigation, Damon C. Inniss, 19, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Appearing Intoxicated in Public.  Mr. Inniss was held at the ADC pending a May 14 court appearance.
