Residential Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of an apartment on the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court. A neighbor, who heard glass breaking, reported that the burglary occurred sometime between 9:00AM and 9:20AM Monday, April 8. A sliding glass door was broken. A laptop computer, a tablet computer, and a purse were reported missing.
Brandishing a Firearm
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the brandishing of a firearm by an unknown suspect at the intersection of Signal Hill Drive and Richmond Avenue at approximately 5:53PM Friday, April 5. According to the victim and witnesses, the suspect was driving aggressively in the parking lot of the “Shops at Signal Hill” Shopping Center and almost collided with the victim’s vehicle. The victim got out of his vehicle to speak to the suspect. At that point, according to the victim and witnesses, the suspect got out of his vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victim and told him to get back in his car. Both parties got back in their vehicles and the suspect drove off on Signal Hill Road toward Fairview Avenue. The suspect was described as dark-skinned Hispanic male with black hair, approximately 5`7” tall, wearing a red shirt and black pants, driving a red Lincoln Navigator with a large “Capitals” decal on the back window.
Commercial Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of “Souls Harbor Church” at 8900 Portner Avenue. Church staff discovered the burglary at 10:20AM Friday, April 5. A window to a basement office was broken. A laptop computer in a black bag and hand tools were reported missing. A suspicious person was seen by staff on church property that morning. He was described as a husky, Hispanic male, approximately 5`9” tall, wearing a red sweatshirt and carrying what appeared to be a laptop case.
