Manassas city police beat for 3/1/13

Indecent Exposure
Manassas City Police officers responded to an indecent exposure call at the Caton Merchant House, 9201 Portner Avenue, at 11:51PM Wednesday, February 27.  Two adult female employees reported that they were in a lounge room of the facility working on reports when, for about ten minutes, they heard tapping coming from outside a window of the room. When one went to investigate the tapping, she observed a man outside the window with his pants down masturbating. When she grabbed a phone to call the police, the man ran across the street and went behind the Manassas Shopping Center.  She described the suspect as a white, non-Hispanic male approximately 35-40 years of age, with a round, clean shaven face, approximately 6`0” tall, and weighing roughly 180.  He was wearing a dark blue or black stocking cap, a dark navy jacket, and light blue jeans.  Responding officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Domestic Violence, Felony - Arrest
Manassas City Police officers responded to a domestic violence call on 9100 block of Laurelwood Court at approximately 8:00AM Thursday, February 28.  A resident reported that Mohammed Elias Buiyan, a family member, had attempted to stab her with a kitchen knife.  The victim also stated that Mr. Buiyan hit her mother with a chair and prevented them both from fleeing the residence before they were able to escape to a neighbor’s house.  Mr. Buiyan was taken into custody without incident.  Mohammed Elias Buiyan, 43, of Laurelwood Court, was charged with Malicious Wounding, Attempted Malicious Wounding, and Abduction (two counts).  He was held at the ADC with no bond, pending an appearance in the Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court (date to be determined).
