Manassas City Police Beat 9/8/11

DUI Arrest?
On Sept. 7, 2011, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Manassas City Police Officers were on patrol when they encountered a vehicle with a subject sleeping behind the wheel at the intersection of Sudley Road and Diggs Road. Once awoken by police, Elizabeth Danielle Rains, of Herndon, VA, attempted to flee the scene and twice, tried to back into officers.

Ms. Rains was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence. While being transported to the detention center, Rains repeatedly made threats to Law Enforcement.

Elizabeth Danielle Rains, 21, was also charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding and Threats to Law Enforcement. She was held at the Prince William Detention Center. Her court date was set for Oct. 11, 2011.
