Manassas City Police Beat 9/5/12

Aggravated Assault
On August 23, 2012, the case involving Justin Lee Finley and Stephon Damont Greene was heard in Prince William County General District Court, where the judge certified the Aggravated Malicious Wounding charges to Circuit Court’s September Grand Jury.  The victim, John Henry Jackson, age 20, of Manassas Park, died on May 28, 2012 as a result of his injuries.

Finley and Greene were each also directly indicted by the Commonwealth’s Attorney to the Grand Jury for Assault and Battery, Second Degree Murder and three counts of Gang Participation on September 4, 2012.  The Grand Jury returned the certified indictments as well as the direct indictments as true bills after finding probable cause for each charge; court dates will be set by the Circuit Court today, September 5, 2012, at its monthly Term Day.


Malicious Wounding Arrest (Previously Released)
On April 19, 2012, Justin Lee Finley and Stephon Damont Greene were featured as Manassas City’s Fugitives of the Week, related to a Malicious Wounding incident that occurred on March 17, 2012, in the 9700 block of Aspen Place. The victim, a 19-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries and died on May 28, 2012 while hospitalized. On May 30, 2012, both subjects were apprehended in New Jersey.  Justin Lee Finley and Stephon Damont Greene are awaiting extradition back to Virginia where they have been charged with Gang Participation, Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Assault by Mob. Further charges may be pending. Investigation is ongoing.
