Manassas City Police Beat 9/4/12

Larceny
On September 2, 2012 a Manassas City Police Officer responded to the 10000 block of Farmington Ct for a report of a larceny. The victim stated that while he and two family members were out, a friend who had remained in their home alone with the door unlocked reported hearing footsteps from an unknown subject at approximately 12:45 pm. Upon returning home, the victim noticed his laptop and a bottle of medication had been stolen.

Larceny
On September 3, 2012 a Manassas City Police Officer responded to the 9400 block of Bankhead Rd for a report of a larceny. The victim reported that at some time after 8:00 pm on September 2, 2012, someone entered her truck and stole a red tool box containing miscellaneous tools.  There were no signs of forced entry on the vehicle.

Aggravated Assault
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on September 2, 2012 a Manassas City Police Officer was dispatched to the area of Liberia Ave and Centreville Rd in reference to a physical fight in the street. The two victims reported that upon exiting Interstate 66 at the VA 28 interchange, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) containing four to five white males pulled up alongside their vehicle.  The males in the SUV inside then continued to yell and insult the two victims until both vehicles had reached the intersection of Liberia Ave and Centreville Rd, where all parties exited their vehicles and the verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation in the street.  The two victims were reportedly punched and kicked several times, and the suspects then continued down Liberia Ave towards Euclid Ave. One victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.  The second victim told officers he was attacked but did not sustain any external injuries. No description of the suspects is available.  The suspects’ vehicle is described as a brown Infiniti SUV.

Vandalism and Larceny from Auto
On August 27, 2012 Manassas City Police Officers responded to the 9000 block of Jerrys Circle for a report of Vandalism and Larceny from an Auto Vehicle. Once officers arrived at the scene, the complainant showed them six (6) vehicles of different makes and models were broken into on the premises.  Five of the six vehicles were awaiting service at the repair shops on site and all six had windows broken out.  A stereo face plate had been stolen from one of the vehicles. This investigation is ongoing.
