Manassas City Police Beat 9/21/12

Residential Burglary
Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of a residence on the 9300 block of Taney Road.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 4:30PM Thursday, September 20.  There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.  A rear sliding glass door had been left unlocked.  A gaming console, accessories and games were reported missing.

Residential Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of a residence on the 8400 block of Georgian Court.  The resident reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 9:00PM Wednesday, September 19.  There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.  A gaming console and a laptop computer were reported missing.

Brandishing a Firearm-Arrest
The Manassas City Police Department investigated a report of a man brandishing a handgun during a verbal altercation on the 9400 block of Teaberry Court.  The incident occurred between 2:30PM and 3:00PM Sunday, September 16.  Corey Demond Simples, 38, of 9341 Wax Myrtle Way in Manassas was arrested and charged with Brandishing a Firearm, with a court date of October 16.  He was released on his own recognizance and served with an Emergency Protective Order.
