Robbery Arrests
On Sept. 15, 2011, Harrisonburg VA police investigators, along with Manassas City police officers conducted a search warrant, along with a warrant service at 9602 Waterford Drive. The investigation stemmed from two Robbery incidents that occurred in Harrisonburg, VA on Sept. 11, 2011.
Several items pertinent to the investigation were removed from the residence by investigators during the search warrant.
Taken into custody were Sterling A. Williams, 18, and Darren Whitelow, 20, both of 9602 Waterford Drive. Whitelow was charged with six counts of Robbery, Attempted Robbery, six counts of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Malicious Wounding by Mob. Williams was charged with six counts of Robbery, two counts of Attempted Robbery and six counts of Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
Both subjects are currently being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center, awaiting extradition to Harrisonburg, VA.
This is an ongoing investigation.
Firearms Arrest
On Sept. 16, 2011, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Manassas City police officers were summoned to the parking lot of Old Town Sports Pub, located on Center Street, regarding a shots fired call. Upon the officers’ arrival, witnesses led them to a subject who had fired a firearm several times into the air.
A brief interview concluded with the arrest of Kent Wochner, 57, of 10276 Windgate Court. Wochner was charged with four felony counts of Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place within 1,000 feet of a school and Intoxicated in Public. He was held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
Burglary Arrest
On Sept. 18, 2011, Robert Nelson Lane, 49, of 9507 Liberty Street, turned himself into authorities, confessing to breaking into the BB&T Bank, located on Centreville Road.
Lane was charged with Breaking and Entering and Grand Larceny.
He is currently being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center, with no bond. His court date was set for Oct. 18, 2011.
