Burglary
On Saturday. August 11, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers responded to the 9000 block of Miles Place regarding a burglary. The victim told officers that between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on said date, someone(s) broke into his residence and stole approximately $3,000 in electronics and tools. This is an ongoing investigation.

Larceny
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a larceny that occurred on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at approximately 2:35 p.m., at the Best Western motel, located at 8640 Mathis Avenue. The victim, a hotel employee, told officers that her wallet was stolen from the hotel’s laundry room while she was out cleaning rooms. Witnesses said that they saw a white male, 25-27 years old, who was wearing a white shirt with red sleeves and blue jeans inside the laundry room. It is not known if the male was a guest of the hotel at the time of the theft. This is an ongoing investigation.
