Larceny
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a larceny that occurred between 6 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on July 12, 2012 and midday on July 16, 2012, in the 9400 block of Forestwood Lane. The victim told officers that on both occasions, someone removed copper wires and other metal parts from the building’s air conditioning units. The suspect’s image was captured on video surveillance. He is described as a white male with long grey or blonde hair. This is an ongoing investigation.
Burglary
On July 23, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers were summoned to the 9500 block of Tudor Oaks Drive, regarding a burglary. The victim told officers that between noon on July 21, 2012 and 8:45 p.m. on July 23, 2012, someone broke into her residence and stole an LG 37” LCD television, valued at approximately $400, an HP widescreen laptop, also valued at approximately $400, a Mac Notebook, valued at approximately $800, a Panasonic DVD player, valued at approximately $50, along with numerous pieces of jewelry, valued at approximately $1,000. This is an ongoing investigation.
