Grand Larceny Arrest
On Monday, July 16, 2012, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Manassas City Police Officers were patrolling the wooded area between Bartow Street and the Kona Kai apartments when they encountered a juvenile pushing a moped. Officers questioned the juvenile about the moped when he attempted to flee from them. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Further investigation revealed that the moped was stolen. The 16- year-old male was charged with Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, Trespassing and Obstruction. He was held at the M.E.S.H. Juvenile Facility, in Manassas. His court date has not been determined.
