Manassas City Police Beat 7/12/12

Attempted Robbery
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in the 8400 block of Kirby Street, at approximately 11:40 p.m. on July 4, 2012. The 18-year-old victim told officers that he was walking on the pathway near Stonewall Pool when four to five subjects walked up behind him and assaulted him. He was punched in the face and a bottle was broken over his head. He was also bitten above his right eye and right arm. The victim told officers that the offenders were trying to remove his sneakers during the assault, with negative results. The victim sustained injuries to his head and face and treated at a local hospital. He was not able to give officers a specific description of the offenders. This is an ongoing investigation.

Robbery
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a robbery that occurred in the 9000 block of Centreville Road, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on July 11, 2012. The victim told officers that he was leaving Don Julio’s restaurant, located at 9007 Centreville Road, when three subjects robbed him at knife point in the rear parking lot, stealing an undisclosed amount of money. The victim did not sustain any injuries stemming from this incident.

One suspect was described as a 20-25 year old light skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” and 160 lbs. He was wearing a white bandana, white and black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his mid thirties. The victim could not give officers a description of the third suspect because the suspect was sitting in the car at the time of the robbery. The car was described as a two door vehicle, white in color. This is an ongoing investigation.

Assault Arrest
On July 11, 2012, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Manassas City Police Officers were summoned to the 9000 block of Merrimack Drive, regarding an assault. The victim, a 22-year-old female, told officers that she was having an argument with a family member, Terrell Lamont Hudson, when he slapped and choked her. Terrell Lamont Hudson, 43, of 9001 Merrimack Drive, was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery On A Family Member and Strangulation. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, with no bond. His court date is unknown.

Assault Arrest
On July 11, 2012, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Manassas City Police Officers were summoned to the 9600 block of Cloverhill Road, regarding an assault. The victim, a 33-year-old female, told officers that she was having an argument with a family member, Rehan A. Syed, when he pushed her down and held her against her will. Rehan A. Syed, of 9622 Cloverhill Road, was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery On A Family Member. He was seen and released on his own signature by the duty magistrate. His court date was set for September 5, 2012.
