False identification Arrest
On May 23, 2012, at approximately 8:35 p.m., a Manassas City Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 9700 block of Aspen Place when the passenger of the vehicle exited the vehicle and attempted to engage the officer in conversation. Further investigation revealed that the passenger was intoxicated and would not obey any of the officer’s commands. The passenger was placed under arrest and charged with public Intoxication. It was later discovered that the arrestee had supplied the officer with a false name. Juan Jose Guardado Majano, 32, of 14707 Dunbar Lane, Dale City, VA, was charged with Providing False Information to Law Enforcement to Avoid Prosecution. Several outstanding warrants were also served on Guardado Manjano. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, on a $9,500 bond. His court date was set for July 3, 2012.
Robbery Arrest
On May 23, 2012, Daryl Ronnel Haley was featured as Manassas City’s Fugitive of the Week, pertaining to a robbery that occurred on May 3, 2012, in the 8600 block of Liberia. On May 28, 2012, he turned himself into the magistrate’s office. Daryl Ronnel Haley, 41, of 8682 Carlton Dr, was charged with one count of Robbery. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, with no bond. His court date was set for June 1, 2012.
Robbery (Previously Released)
On May 3, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers responded to the 8600 block of Liberia Avenue, regarding a robbery. The victim told officers that he was robbed at approximately 8 p.m. while selling ice cream from an ice cream cart. The victim said that the suspect displayed a box cutter and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The offender was described as a black male, approximately 230-260 lbs and 6’0” tall.
Stolen Auto
Manassas City Police officers are investigating the theft of a 1993 Honda Civic that occurred between 5 p.m. on May 18, 2012 and 11:55 p.m. on May 20, 2012, in the 9000 block of Euclid Avenue. The victim told officers that she had the vehicle parked on the street when she realized that it had been stolen. On May 20, 2012, a Manassas City Police Officer was patrolling in the 8500 block of Stonewall Road when he found the stolen vehicle, unoccupied. Approximately $600 in motor vehicle parts had been removed from the Honda. This is an ongoing investigation.
Larceny
On May 24, 2012, Manassas City Police officers responded to the Home Depot, located at 8805 Liberia Avenue, regarding a larceny. A store employee told officers that at approximately 5 p.m., a male stole a Milwaukee drill, valued at approximately $160. The suspect was seen leaving in a red Jeep Cherokee, displaying Virginia license tag number 8848RD. This is an ongoing investigation.
Larceny
On May 26, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers responded to Tom’s Diner, located at 9003 Centreville Road, regarding a larceny. An employee told officers that on May 24, 2012, he checked on the establishment’s air conditioning unit when he discovered that someone had cut the copper and stole the condenser pertaining to the unit, from the back of the business. The copper and the condenser were valued at approximately $500. This is an ongoing investigation.
Larceny
Manassas City Police Officers are investigating the theft of currency that occurred in the 9100 block of Firethorn Court, between 10:30 p.m. on May 27, 2012 and 9 a.m. on May 28, 2012. The victim told officers the undisclosed amount of money came up missing during a party that the victim was throwing at her residence. She said that she believes that a male, only known as “James”, stole the money. James is described as white, 5’9”, with brown eyes and brown hair. This is an ongoing investigation.
Brandishing
On May 28, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers responded to “Tommy’s Bar”, located at 8910 Mathis Avenue, regarding a fight in the parking lot. Officers were told that at approximately 1:25 a.m., a Hispanic male was being taunted in the parking lot by two other Hispanic males, when he pulled a handgun from his waistband and threatened to shoot the other two. The suspect then left in an unknown type of vehicle. He was described as being approximately 5’7” tall, approximately 180 lbs with a muscular build and short dark hair. He was wearing a silver shirt with dark colored pants at the time of the incident. The weapon was described as a black semi automatic pistol. This is an ongoing investigation.
Vandalism
On May 28, 2012, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Manassas City Police Officers were called to the 9000 block of New Britain Circle, regarding a suspicious event. The victim told officers that she was having work done inside the home and had purposely left the front door open for contractors when an unknown person(s) entered and damaged several items in the house. The damages were estimated at approximately $100. This is an ongoing investigation.
