Abduction & Assault Arrest
On April 22, 2012, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Manassas City Police Officers were told of an abduction and assault that occurred in the 9500 block of Cannoneer Court at approximately 7 p.m. on the same date.

The victim told officers that she was visiting an acquaintance when she was assaulted and held against her will. She said that she tried to leave the residence, when he started punching and choking her, causing her to pass out. She said that she woke up and was punched again while attempting to escape.

Yohalmo Emmanuel Shupan-Penate, of 9554 Cannoneer Court, was placed under arrest and charged with Abduction and Malicious Wounding. He was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, with no bond. His court date was set for June 5, 2012.
