Manassas City Police Beat 2/6/12

Manassas City police officers are investigating a theft of copper pipes from a building, located in the 9600 block of Forestwood Drive. The building owner advised officers that between 10 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2012 and noon on Feb. 3, 2012, someone(s) stole the copper piping belonging to the building’s air conditioning system. The cost of the stolen pipes was estimated at approximately $1,000. This is an ongoing investigation.

Narcotics Citation
On Feb. 3, 2012, at approximately 10:45 p.m., a Manassas City police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Mathis Avenue, near Sudley Road, for a number of motor vehicle code violations. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Zachary A. Sadberry (age 19) of 6427 Steeplechase Lane, was in possession of marijuana. Sadberry was cited for Possession of Marijuana and released on his signature. His court date is unknown.
