Manassas City Police Beat 2/17/12

Larceny
On Feb. 15, 2012, Manassas City Police Officers responded to Artic Sun, located at 9520 Technology Drive, regarding a larceny. A business employee advised officers that between 4 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2012 and 7.p.m. on Feb. 15, 2012, someone(s) entered the business’ yard and stole three used water heaters and five used HVAC systems. The items were valued at approximately $1,000. This investigation is ongoing.

Burglary
On Feb. 16, 2012, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Manassas City police officers responded to the 8600 block of Mahogany Court, regarding an attempted burglary. The victim told officers that she was in the residence when she heard someone(s) attempting to break into the house. She said that she looked out the upstairs window when she observed two Hispanic males, one standing by the sidewalk and the other by the front door, attempting to gain entry. Both males left the area before officers arrived on scene. One of the males was described as approximately 5’10”, with long dark hair. The victim could not supply officers with a description of the second suspect. This investigation is ongoing.
