Stolen Auto
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the theft of a car from the 9200 block of Bayberry Avenue on Wednesday, February 13, at approximately 11:10PM. The owner advised that he was visiting a house in the neighborhood. He had left his gold, 2006 Mercedes R350 SUV running and unlocked in the driveway of the Bayberry Ave. residence at around 10:40PM. There were no witnesses and there are currently no suspects.
Residential Burglary
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the burglary of a residence on the 8900 block of McDowell Commons. A resident reported to police that when she arrived home at approximately 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 13, she observed three people walking from her house wearing white gloves, jeans and hoodies, which covered their faces. One was carrying a basket which she recognized as her own. She said that all three people got into a champagne colored Nissan Altima with tinted windows and drove toward Ashton Avenue (she could not see the tag). She then entered her house to find a rear window broken and the sliding glass door unlocked. An iPad, Xbox and laundry basket were reported stolen.
